Focusing on the Blur

"We cannot live for ourselves alone. Our lives are connected by a thousand invisible threads, and along these sympathetic fibers, our actions run as causes and return to us as results." -Herman Melville

Engaging Adventure

The Beginning: An early morning hike up Mt. Sherman (14,036 ft)Where it all started: the two mile hike up to the trail head, thank you inventor of snowshoes.
Looking back to where the hike began in the valley far below. The snowshoes were no longer useful, so with them strapped to our backs the climbing started. The wind became unbearable and 500 ft. from the summit Mother Nature won and we headed back to the protection of the mountainside. Exhausted and freezing, we hunkered down in a little hut halfway down. I couldn't have been more clueless as to what was about to take place. I was just out for a fun outdoor adventure. The riddle was given, the key discovered under the insole of my boot, the box was revealed, and the lock was opened. The wind came barreling through the shelter and slammed the box closed, but not before I glanced inside and saw something that surprised me to tears.

This is what I saw. After hiking up the side of a mountain, fighting the winter weather and now in the little hut...I said YES
Nothing like a little Snow Bling to brighten the day
We're ENGAGED!!!
